Family Vacation: Day 8

Lisa was under the weather this morning (too many meat fumes or bad sour cream--who knows), so after Gretchen left to teach the guys took the kids on a short hike to a waterfall.

In the afternoon, everyone met up in Old Town for lunch and a little shopping/gazing. Todd and Chris left with the kids while Gretchen and Lisa walked around a bit longer, and Todd stopped at the Petroglyph National Monument on the way home. There are pictures of the signs explaining the petroglyph and a few of the drawings. Todd intends to use these in class when covering Native American history. (Perhaps we can write off the whole trip....)

That night, the adults went to a luau (complete with a limbo contest), and saw Scott Good (friend of Chris's who also graduated with Todd)and met some of Chris's coworkers.

All in all, a relaxed day mostly focused on the guys getting ready to race tomorrow morning.
